Emergency callouts
Tap to ring, top of the screen, nothing in front of it.
Oil is the ordinary heating fuel across a lot of the province, the terraces run in long red-brick rows, and people give directions by side rather than by number. A page written for a British city gets all three wrong.

The awkward bits
Most of my work comes through one letting agent
Which is fine until they change hands or bring it in house. A page written at agents — what you turn round in a week, what a landlord visit involves, one invoice a month — is how you get the second and the third one without knocking on any doors.
Half my work is oil, half is gas
Then they are two pages, because they are two different worries. An oil customer is thinking about a tank, a filter and a service before winter. A gas customer is thinking about a fault code today. One page trying to speak to both speaks to neither.
The houses here are all the same, what is there to write?
That they are all the same. A red-brick kitchen house off the Ormeau or the Antrim Road has the bathroom in the same place, the stopcock in the same place and the same twenty year old boiler in the same cupboard. A page that describes it exactly is one every owner on the street recognises.
People here want to know who you are first
And a website is where that gets answered before anyone has to ask. Your own photographs, your registration numbers, the streets you work and a plain account of how you price. It is the conversation you would have on the phone anyway, written down once so it happens first.
What you get
A page per job, never a page per suburb.
Tap to ring, top of the screen, nothing in front of it.
A form that asks size, access and timescale before it asks anything else.
Room for your Gas Safe number where a homeowner looks for it.
Written by symptom, because that is how it gets searched.
The small jobs that fill a quiet week and come back bigger.
A different buyer, a different page, and repeat money.
Is the water off right now?
One question, at the top, before anything else. It sorts an emergency from a quote in a second.
Checkable, like the rest of this page. Here is where we read it.
Belfast's BT numbers run past the city boundary. BT16 is Dundonald and BT17 is Dunmurry, Hannahstown and Derriaghy, both under Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council; BT8 reaches Carryduff and BT14 crosses into Antrim and Newtownabbey. A Belfast firm's radius is described in BT numbers, never in the city's name.

Beeforge is a small studio working across the UK and Ireland. There is no office in Belfast and we are not going to pretend otherwise — nothing here says we have worked in the city, only that we build for plumbers who do.
