Extensions
The sequence of the job, week by week, in your own words.
Streets of 1930s semis where the same rear extension has been done four hundred times and the homeowner still has no idea what order it happens in. Describe the order and you have already beaten the two quotes they are holding.
Three weeks from go ahead to live, and about ninety minutes of your time: one call, twelve photographs, one read through.

The awkward bits
Everyone says they do extensions, how do I look different?
By writing the sequence. Survey, drawings, building control, foundations, the week the kitchen is out of use, handover. Nobody else does it, and it is the only thing that answers the question they are actually asking, which is whether you can run a job rather than lay a brick.
The good enquiries all come from architects
Keep them, and write a second page for the homeowner who has no drawings yet. That person is eighteen months out and worth having early, because the firm that answered their first question is the one who gets the job when the drawings finally exist.
Birmingham is enormous, where do I even aim?
At four suburbs, not at a city. Extensions Harborne, loft conversion Moseley, builder B29. Those searches bring somebody a fifteen minute drive away and have a handful of firms in them. And Sutton Coldfield and Solihull are separate post towns and separate pages.
Sutton Coldfield and Solihull are on my patch too
Then they are their own pages. Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, West Bromwich and Halesowen are separate post towns inside the same B letter, and nobody in any of them reads a page headed Birmingham as being about them. Four short pages beat one that claims everything.
What you get
A page per job, never a page per suburb.
The sequence of the job, week by week, in your own words.
A different buyer from an extension, so a different page.
Dates and sequence matter more than finished photographs.
The part nobody photographs and everybody worries about.
Where building control and a calculation enter the conversation.
The faster jobs that keep a team busy between the big ones.
Do you have drawings yet?
It sorts a customer who is ready to book from one who is eighteen months out, and both are worth having.
Checkable, like the rest of this page. Here is where we read it.
There is no B22, B39 or B41. B26 and B36 are split between Birmingham and Solihull, B37 and B40 are Solihull outright, and B43 crosses into Sandwell and Walsall — so a Birmingham firm's coverage is a list of numbers, never a boundary.

Beeforge is a small studio working across the UK and Ireland. There is no office in Birmingham and we are not going to pretend otherwise — nothing here says we have worked in the city, only that we build for builders who do.
