Builder website design in Galway

New estates going up faster than anywhere in the country, a separate city and county council since the eighties, and Atlantic weather that decides what an extension has to be built out of on the west side.

Three weeks from go ahead to live, and about ninety minutes of your time: one call, twelve photographs, one read through.

Places your site can be built to cover, never a list of builder jobs anyone has done in them.

The awkward bits

The things you say before you say yes

It is a small city, everybody knows a builder

The people who grew up here do. Knocknacarra, Roscam, Doughiska and Oranmore have filled with households who have nobody to ask, and a good share of the work is for owners living elsewhere entirely. All of them find a builder the same way, which is by searching.

The weather changes what I can build and customers argue about it

So put the argument on the page before it starts. What wind-driven rain does to a west-facing wall, what you build instead and what it costs. A homeowner who reads that arrives having already accepted it, which is the whole point of a website.

City or county — which planning office do I name?

Both, because they are genuinely different. Galway City Council and Galway County Council have been separate authorities since the city was split out, so a job in Salthill and a job in Athenry go through different offices. One line, and it does more than any adjective.

The season decides everything here

Then the page has to carry both halves of the year. Summer is changeovers, short lets and outdoor work; winter is the jobs people have been putting off. Most trade sites here are written for one season and go quiet in the other, which is a page problem rather than a market one.

What you get

The pages your site needs

A page per job, never a page per suburb.

Extensions

The sequence of the job, week by week, in your own words.

Loft conversions

A different buyer from an extension, so a different page.

Renovations

Dates and sequence matter more than finished photographs.

Groundwork and foundations

The part nobody photographs and everybody worries about.

Structural alterations

Where building control and a calculation enter the conversation.

Garden rooms and garages

The faster jobs that keep a team busy between the big ones.

What each of these pages has to do

The one question your form must ask

Do you have drawings yet?

It sorts a customer who is ready to book from one who is eighteen months out, and both are worth having.

One thing about Galway worth checking

Checkable, like the rest of this page. Here is where we read it.

Galway ceased to be part of County Galway in 1986 and was renamed Galway City in 2001. Galway City Council and Galway County Council are separate authorities, so a job in Salthill and a job in Athenry go through different planning offices.

Beeforge is a small studio working across the UK and Ireland. There is no office in Galway and we are not going to pretend otherwise — nothing here says we have worked in the city, only that we build for builders who do.

Straight answers

Questions we get asked most

How much does a website cost for a builder?
Ours come in under the price of a coffee a day and you get the number on the first call. Across the market a template is a few hundred pounds and a written site is several thousand. Whoever you use, ask for the five year total including hosting and changes.
Why is my building company not showing on Google Maps?
Almost always no Google Business Profile, one that was never verified by post or video, a business name and address that does not match your site, or no reviews at all. Fix them in that order. All four are free and all four beat a redesign.

Next step

Tell us your trade and the towns you cover

A straight yes, no, or not yet, within one working day.

Nothing to sign

No twelve month tie in, no exit fee and no notice period. Stop whenever you like and the site stays yours.

It is yours, in writing

Before you pay a penny we tell you who the domain is registered to, where the files sit, who holds the logins, and how to move the site elsewhere.

Your side of it is small

No copy to write and no hosting to work out. Answer questions for about an hour and a half and send twelve decent photos.
