Builder website design in Glasgow

Everything here goes through a building warrant before it goes through a wall, tenement alterations need the title deeds read as well as the drawings, and the G numbers put four councils inside what you call your own patch.

Three weeks from go ahead to live, and about ninety minutes of your time: one call, twelve photographs, one read through.

Places your site can be built to cover, never a list of builder jobs anyone has done in them.

The awkward bits

The things you say before you say yes

Customers do not understand the warrant process

So explain it once, on the page, before they ring. What a warrant is, who applies, how long it usually takes and what happens at completion. English template copy talks about building regulations approval, which does not exist here — and every customer who reads it knows something is off.

Tenement work means agreement from people I never meet

Then the page says what you need before you start: the deeds, who owns the common parts, what the factor has to sign. One paragraph, and the enquiry arrives with the hard part already begun rather than discovered in week three.

How do I describe my area without a list?

In sides and in edges. The west end and the south side are how people say it; G33 and G69 into North Lanarkshire, G44, G46 and part of G53 into East Renfrewshire are where the building standards department changes. Two sentences, and the geography is done.

My yard is outside the city

It means nothing to a search and a great deal to a customer who assumes it does. Say the areas you actually reach and how long you take to get there, and where the van is parked stops being a question. Nobody has ever chosen a firm on the location of its yard.

What you get

The pages your site needs

A page per job, never a page per suburb.

Extensions

The sequence of the job, week by week, in your own words.

Loft conversions

A different buyer from an extension, so a different page.

Renovations

Dates and sequence matter more than finished photographs.

Groundwork and foundations

The part nobody photographs and everybody worries about.

Structural alterations

Where building control and a calculation enter the conversation.

Garden rooms and garages

The faster jobs that keep a team busy between the big ones.

What each of these pages has to do

The one question your form must ask

Do you have drawings yet?

It sorts a customer who is ready to book from one who is eighteen months out, and both are worth having.

One thing about Glasgow worth checking

Checkable, like the rest of this page. Here is where we read it.

The G numbers still carry the compass codes they replaced — G11 was W1, G20 was NW, G31 was E1, G40 was SE, G41 was S1 — and Glaswegians still give directions as the west end or the south side rather than as a number. A coverage page here needs both.

Beeforge is a small studio working across the UK and Ireland. There is no office in Glasgow and we are not going to pretend otherwise — nothing here says we have worked in the city, only that we build for builders who do.

Straight answers

Questions we get asked most

How much does a website cost for a builder?
Ours come in under the price of a coffee a day and you get the number on the first call. Across the market a template is a few hundred pounds and a written site is several thousand. Whoever you use, ask for the five year total including hosting and changes.
Why is my building company not showing on Google Maps?
Almost always no Google Business Profile, one that was never verified by post or video, a business name and address that does not match your site, or no reviews at all. Fix them in that order. All four are free and all four beat a redesign.

Next step

Tell us your trade and the towns you cover

A straight yes, no, or not yet, within one working day.

Nothing to sign

No twelve month tie in, no exit fee and no notice period. Stop whenever you like and the site stays yours.

It is yours, in writing

Before you pay a penny we tell you who the domain is registered to, where the files sit, who holds the logins, and how to move the site elsewhere.

Your side of it is small

No copy to write and no hosting to work out. Answer questions for about an hour and a half and send twelve decent photos.
