Roofer website design in Cardiff

Welsh slate on bay-fronted terraces, weather that arrives sideways off the Bristol Channel, and streets in Cathays and Roath where the scaffold has to go up in front of a house that is now four flats.

Three weeks from go ahead to live, and about ninety minutes of your time: one call, twelve photographs, one read through.

Places your site can be built to cover, never a list of roofer jobs anyone has done in them.

The awkward bits

The things you say before you say yes

Everyone claims to do slate

So show it. Twelve photographs of your own slate work, a line about what you do with a bay and its valley, and a plain sentence about matching what came off. A homeowner cannot climb up and check, so the photographs are the only evidence they will ever have.

Student houses are all landlord patch jobs

Keep those on their own page, priced as callouts, and write the re-roof page for owners in Llanishen, Whitchurch and Cyncoed with photographs and a form. Otherwise the cheapest reader on the site sets the price for the most expensive one.

Cardiff is only eight postcodes

So write district names instead. Canton, Roath, Grangetown, Whitchurch, Llanishen. That is how people here describe where they live and what they type — and Penarth and Barry are their own pages, their own customers and twenty minutes away.

Should the site be in Welsh as well?

Only if you can answer the phone in Welsh. A bilingual site that leads to an English-only conversation reads worse than an honest English one. What does matter here is naming the district — Cathays, Roath, Llanishen, Whitchurch — because Cardiff addresses jump about and the district is how people describe where they live.

What you get

The pages your site needs

A page per job, never a page per suburb.

Leak repairs

Searched at nine at night and converted within the hour.

Re-roofing

How long the house is open to the sky.

Flat roofing

Extensions, dormers and garages, and which material you use.

Chimneys and leadwork

The detail work that separates you from a general builder.

Guttering and fascias

Small, seasonal, and how the bigger jobs get noticed.

Roof surveys

Paid work that puts you up there before anyone commits.

What each of these pages has to do

The one question your form must ask

How many storeys, and is there scaffold access?

It decides whether the job is a ladder or a week of hire, and it belongs in the first message.

One thing about Cardiff worth checking

Checkable, like the rest of this page. Here is where we read it.

Cardiff has eight geographic postcode districts and they do not run in sequence: CF3, CF5, CF10, CF11, CF14, CF15, CF23 and CF24. Everything between them, CF31 to CF83, is Bridgend, the Rhondda, Merthyr Tydfil, the Vale of Glamorgan or Caerphilly.

Beeforge is a small studio working across the UK and Ireland. There is no office in Cardiff and we are not going to pretend otherwise — nothing here says we have worked in the city, only that we build for roofers who do.

Straight answers

Questions we get asked most

How much does a website cost for a roofing company?
Under the price of a coffee a day with us, and the figure comes on the first call rather than at the end of a sales process. Across the market it runs from a few hundred to several thousand depending on how much is written from scratch. Get the five year total before signing.
Why does my roofing business not appear on Google Maps?
Four usual reasons: no Google Business Profile, an unverified one, a name and address that disagree with your website, or no reviews. Sort them in that order, for nothing, and you will see the map results move before the website has finished being built.

Next step

Tell us your trade and the towns you cover

A straight yes, no, or not yet, within one working day.

Nothing to sign

No twelve month tie in, no exit fee and no notice period. Stop whenever you like and the site stays yours.

It is yours, in writing

Before you pay a penny we tell you who the domain is registered to, where the files sit, who holds the logins, and how to move the site elsewhere.

Your side of it is small

No copy to write and no hosting to work out. Answer questions for about an hour and a half and send twelve decent photos.
